The Life of An Artist - A new collection with many illustrations and in-depth information on the life of an artist and the context in which he lived. The aim is to create a mini-encyclopaedia on all of the main artists of each era, with special attention paid to contemporary art.
The basic structure of each volume is the following: for every artist there is a series of informative sections ranging from 2-4, to a maximum of 8 pages each, as well as a number of sections with background information (the artist’s city; the daily life; the artist’s acquaintances: teachers, friends, disciples, models; the techniques of artistic productions; the relevant links to music or literature). The images follow the logic of the text.
Wherever possible, there are many photographs (not only reproductions of the art works) and maps; boxes to enliven the pages; bibliography and a concise chronological biography.
