A book that covers everything about wine. The book is divided into three parts. The first part explains what wine is: how it is born, the territory, grapes, vinfication, aging, current regulations. The second part deals with the relationship we have with wine: how to buy it, the producers, wine shops, large-scale retail trade, on-line purchases, how to read the label, what wines to choose and how to store them. Finally, serving and tasting wine, wine terminology and general matching criteria. The third part deals withthe various types of wine, one at a time: white, rosé, red, sweet-passito-botrytised wines, sparklers. For each type of wine, the following are described: its characteristics, the most well known Italian and foreign wines, the best way of drinking it, the matchings and recipes having wine in their ingredients or which are particularly suitable for a specific pairing. There will also be small tables indicating the most well-known DOC wines, indicating their region of origin and main characteristics, both for better known Italian wines and wines from other parts of the world.
