62 recipes easy to make, organized by courses (first, second, side, snack) and linked to seasonal products. At the base of this project, the awarness that nutrition education begins at a very young age and that the children development is strictly connected to a balanced and wholesome diet.
Every recipe shows the quantities both for the child and four people, the preparation phases and some suggestions to obtain the best results.
The advised cooking methods are baking or steaming as they preserve the nutritional principles avoiding the use of cooked fats, and make the dishes appealing and easy to digest. In particular, the recipes are based on vegetables, fish and legumes: healty food that even young children can enjoy if it's offered in the right way.
The book also features pedagogist and nutritionist advice, practical notes and two useful calendars about seasonal fruits and vegetables.
