Mythos - Lisa Nanni
Animals are the main characters of this collection of stories. Each story focuses on a mythological event and a special characteristic of the animal that may be well known or lesser known, depending on whether it’s a natural characteristic, or one given by men centuries ago, and now forgotten. In the past, these essays and articles were collected in the so-called “bestiary”, books that were supposed to pass on ethics and literature to future generations. The aim of the book is to promote mythology for its importance today and its literary inspiring value.
Lisa Nanni was born near Pesaro in 1983. Her illustrations have been selected for the Bologna Book Fair Illustrators’ exhibition, for the Portuguese exhibition Illustrarte, the Montreuil’s Figures Futur 2008, and the Picture Book Festival in 2009.
